Fly'n For Fun
Fly'n For Fun 2024 was definitely a weekend to remember, drawing enthusiasts from across the Central West region. Our paramount objective was to engage the public and unlock the wonders of aviation to a broader audience, and we're thrilled to report mission accomplished!

Setting our sights high, we aimed to double the scale of our previous event, and we did just that! Featuring 20 exhibitors and captivating static displays, the event attracted over 400 attendees. The highlight was the awe-inspiring air display by Paul Bennet Airshows, leaving attendees amazed by his manoeuvres and eager to meet the man himself afterward.

We wouldn’t have been able to make Fly’n For Fun 2024 the celebration of aviation it was without our sponsors, especially our Principal Sponsor, the AMDA Foundation. The AMDA Foundation hosts the Australian International Airshow at Avalon, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. As we eagerly anticipate its return in March 2025, don't forget to mark your calendars.

As we reflect on this year's triumph, anticipation builds for the next chapter. With plans already underway for Fly'n For Fun's return in 2026, our team at Recreational Aviation Australia are excited to continue to build the event that combines the thrill of flight and the joy of community.

Fly'n For Fun 2022
RAAus and Avalon Airshow organiser AMDA Foundation Limited partnered to deliver a fly-in event at Parkes, NSW in April 2022, where private aviators came together in a social and enjoyable environment to stimulate recreational flying in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The three-day fly-in from 1-3 April 2022 included static displays, exhibitors, entertainment on site and local attractions, and camping at Parkes Airport.

This all-inclusive gathering celebrated the fun of flying – and for all private aviators to attend and to enjoy. Fly’n for Fun is about bringing pilots and their planes together – and the pleasure of flying.
